ok so the red slime is definitely in a decline now, starting to see some friendly green hair algae which I love because thats far easier to make vanish, i'm going to be building up my CUC over the next few weeks. my tank should have some decent scavanging in it now

one of the biomedia spinners broke at work so we put a new one on and I took the busted media and threw it in my sump there were some pretty cool sponges growing in it and definitely a good amount of pods in it as well, so my tank has been seeded with who knows what now.

returned the hawkfish I should have known betterI think I am going to do a bunch of damsels in this tank just because they really are pretty fish and get under appreciated, i'll probably get 6-7 and consider my tank stocked after I get a six line in there.

I picked up a banded goby from work today, he's looking skinny, not sure if he's gonna pull through. going to try and see if I can get him eating some of my homemade foods to fatten him back up

and yes the tank is still ugly, i ned a lot more rock and of course time for it to mature but the algae is all turning greener in hue which is good. The colors on that pastel one are way better than the photo show, fins a little tattered but he'll heal up.

yaeh damsels are best last, but there is minimal rock work so when I get more rock and re-arrange everything I can add more fishes i'll probably get a few more azures and a six line, it'll be a damsel reef different that any I have done. as long as I add the fish at the same time as the rock\ theres a yellow tail blue in there as well but he was hiding in the rocks he hasnt come out much he was getting kinda beat at the store so I snagged him.

what do the sponges look like? Sponges are awesome and will show up everywhere once your tank is established. One of the first ones you'll start seeing is pineapple sponges. There white but are shaped like little pineapples.
