So after doing some additional research I've found that there's really no reason you can't continue to maintain 80° temps in your tank and from what I understand it can actually be beneficial to a lot of corals.
From what I've read some corals have a much harder time in lower temps(some) and have a hard time to do things like digest there food and fight off diseases and infections. Most posts that I read said that when people increased there temp to 78° or 80° they saw noticeable coral growth and health.
From what I've read Dissolved oxygen isn't an issue at 80° or even 82° one of the main reasons for keeping our tanks at lower temperatures is to slow down and or hopefully prevent pests like ick and bacterial infections witch reproduce at lower rates in colder temps.
Now like most things in this hobby this is something everyone should try to do their own extensive research and make there own decision? Everyone is different and every tank is different. I'm sure like everything else people could sit around and fight about this forever but why do that? Just put in a little time do some research and make an educated decision for your self.
I know that there's a lot of articles on this subject and plenty of information for people to read.
Lastly I'd like to say that after everything that I read I'm still undecided as to what's the best temp to run my tank at? But I do think that it's somewhere in the middle probably. One side says 82°-84° the others says 72°-78° so I'm going to change my temp slowly! And see how things go around 78°-80°
Here's the links to the thread I found all of the articles and discussions on. At the very least it's all very good information and I'm sure will give anyone that reads it some kind of insight on the subject.
