I almost bought some mexican salamanders... they are really cool but allot of work! if you do get any make sure they are past the cannibalistic stage so you can keep more than one together! there is even a company that is breeding florescent ones they glow green with uv light

So I'm back to the overflows making to much noise questions.... I have the pump hooked back up now and doing well for the most part. The problem I'm having is the water going into the teeth of the overflow and rolling down into the box makes a lot of noise? I know I definitely have enough overflow for the pump but it almost seems like the water isn't getting through the teeth fast enough? Is it just because the overflows are so clean? Do they just need to build up some gunk? Or the opposite and I need to make the slits in between the teeth bigger? Also one of the two syphon U tubes keeps getting air in it? I checked it for tiny holes and there are none? Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Make some hoffer gurgle busters for your overflows Other side of the overflow. I already have 4 Hoffer's on them. It's tyne loudest when it comes through the teeth and waterfalls into the black box. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Pic? Do you have the coupler upside down so where the water gets sucked in from underneath rather than flowing over? Mine are dead silent

This is how I build mine, so the water enters the tube from under the water line, no falling water at all. Your welcome to stop by and check mine out in action if you want.
