Reef breeders is about to release a brand new light with a carbon fiber case! I know this means probably dittly to most but carbon fiber pays the bills in my house so we love it!
Haha I didn't even mention anything about the light just the case!

I am holding off purchasing a fixture until Cree comes out with their fully controllable, full spectrum diode. instead of this put a red here, a green here, a purple here B.S. A.K.A. Disco  |

Come on afros, bell bottoms and men in heels? What's not to like about disco? Haha jk Seriously though I think I'm going to try these optics and they look kinda disco! I saw an example of 3 different optics and these had the best spread. If they don't work it's only going to cost $6 so I won't go bankrupt trying it out. Attachments:

I had seen these, they are a collimator style lens and I was wondering if they would blend the different colors better. You may be on to something here, keep us posted.

seems how all the lfs I started selling lights to, are now selling the d120 light... I am stepping it up and have decided to offer one a little better.... I can now offer the same exact lights you see on reefbreeders site!! value,photons,...... quote on the value light "There are 2 different dimming channels, controlled by knobs on top of the fixture. Channel 1 consists of 13 4500K neutral whites, 6 480nm blue, 6 420nm violet, and 2 660nm deep reds. Channel 2 consists of 28 450nm royal blues, for a 14k output with both channels at maximum intensity. Each fixture measures 16? long x 8.5? wide, x 2.5? tall, and covers a 24? cube for SPS, and a 36? long area for SPS in the middle, and LPS/softies on the edges. The fixtures have 2 plugs, one for each channel, which allows for a dawn/dusk effect to be achieved with external timers. They consume about 115watts at full power, and 65watts at half power. They include a hanging kit comprised of 4 wires meeting at a carabiner. As with all of our fixtures, they are kept cool with silent cooling fans and a heat sink, and come with our 2 year USA warranty." |

I'm in the process of getting the manufacturer to take my lights back on warranty. Trying to get a full refund.
I have messages directly from the seller about the problems with my lights being a problem they've had for awhile and 1 of the reasons they no longer produce the D120.
I'm waiting to hear back again today hopefully sometime and I'll update everyone that has these lights. Hopefully no one else is having problems. I've asked about mine for awhile with little help and mostly brush offs. But now that I have messages directly from them indicating it to be a "manufacturers assembly problem" I'm hoping things will work then selves out.

Does the light fixture give me dusk to dawn by turning the two lights on and off independently and does it give me automatic dimming capabilities ?

I have replaced one light. it was a couple weeks ago,I sent my supplier a message and 3-4 days he had a new light delivered to his house

I can get the photons that give you every option you mention and more... like anything how much do you want to spend.... show me any light that is comparable with these options for just over $100. you get what you pay for... find me a harley for the price of a honda lol |

Either way from what I've read it is an on going problem with these lights among other things I've read. They just messaged me back and said they've had 3 other cases of this happening since the start of the new year. |
