So far so good. I got it to take mysis after starving it for a couple days. I'm going to try and get it to take a sliver of silverside today

Florida fighting conch I couldn't interest the radiata in a tiny earthworm or a piece of silverside yesterday. Try again this afternoon.

Looking good so far! Good idea on the exhaust fan...too many stands miss the need completely!
does the family like it so far? It's in a nice high traffic zone and bet it adds a lot of conversation starters to the kitchen area!

It's in a nice high traffic zone and bet it adds a lot of conversation starters to the kitchen area! Sorry for the late reply. I live alone so no one else gets a voice Sadly I lost the radiata lionfish over a week ago. He wasn't eating much but was taking mysis occasionally so he shouldn't have starved. It happened the day after a water change so maybe I messed up testing and they way off from each other but it was a small enough volume so I can't imagine how it was enough to be a shock....,

I need to take some pictures to update this. I reordered a fuzzy from LA and added some more inverts; 4 more cerith, 4 trochus, tropical abalone, and a flame scallop in the fuge. Also had an opportunity to stop in and see Greg at Cultivated reef for his labor day sale. Picked up a few nice frags to help fill in the scape.

Bummer about the lion. Hope the fuzzy does better. I'm hoping. It already looks better. He took a baby earthworm today. I'm going to give him tomorrow off and then try a piece of silverside on Saturday. We'll see how he transitions.

New addition from Bluezoo. I took advantage of their 20% off sale this week to pick up a atlantic longnose butterfly(no pics yet as he's hiding but soon) and filled out my invert selection. tigertail cuke Purple reef lobster Added a couple tonga nassarius(no pics as they buried themselves instantly) and a Blue porcelain crab to the sump to help keep it clean(too small to try and get a pic of) Also added a superman rodactics mushroom that I've been wanting for awhile.

Now I'm mulling over whether on not to keep to my original plan of just the one butterfly and the lions or to add one or two more other specimens. Possibly a second butterfly, either a Lemon or Tahitian? Or a GBR clown and Sebae anemone. Really not sure at this point, but I guess it's not a big deal at the moment. It'll be quite awhile before I add anything else but coral. Picked up a GHL doser and I have to get that installed and dialed in next. That and wine the battle with cyano.
