Little update after the tank got a deep clean yesterday. Montis are all growing like weeds, acros are growing as well but not quad quick as I’d like. Attachments:

So I kept this tank running for just over two years in my living room. Just over a year of that was as a bare bottom tank. It amazed me how much sps growth I got after removing the sand bed. Now this tank resides in my basement, no longer setup as a display tank though but rather a very nice frag tank filled to capacity with coral colonies and frags. |

It’s unlikely that I’ll have any torches anytime. I seem to have crap luck keeping them. I know Jeff at corals unlimited has a bunch of sweet torches at the moment though. |

Wow it’s been a hot minute since I updated this. So I was an idiot and while preparing for the great northern Maine frag swap, I decided to use some old racks from a previous tank with algae issues. A massive hair algae and bryopsis outbreak was the result. Attachments:
