So the last few times I've been to easy aquariums My attention has been stuck on one tank in particular. The black cad lights artisan II 70 gallon rimless kit tank that he's got.. I love the sleek modern design and the dimensions fit well for my living room. This will be the first drilled tank and the first ever star fire glass tank that I've ever had setup. I've been steadily researching this tank and I'm going to end up making a few upgrades over the stock kit. I just wish the price tag were a bit better. This tank is a big downgrade size wise but a huge upgrade in quality. Plus I'm excited about being able to actually enjoy my reef in my living room again. Hoping to be ordering the tank and gloss white stand Thursday. Here's what mine will look like Attachments:

Eventually once funds allow I plan to compliment my new setup with a rimless frag tank. I'm thinking something like a white nuvo 16 or 24 gallon or similar.

Very nice! I have been thinking of tareing my tank down just to paint the stand white! I saw one in mass and loved it! Rimless is the way to go unless your on a budget.

I love the clean modern look. It should fit in to my house nicely. Hopefully I will have the tank within a week.

too small lol what u doing with the tank u just set up I'd have preferred to go with the cad lights 100 gallon or cad lights 150 gallon setup but space and funds were both big limiting factors when I decided on the 70 gallon. My current 125 that's been setup almost 2 years now will be completely torn down and sold once everything I'm keeping has been moved to the new tank.

So I managed to start figuring out my new aquascape to fit within My 3ft space constraints. Needless to say it's left me with a LOT of coral to sell. This is on top of the tons of coral that are already gone. Attachments:

Pic is during a water change so the tank is more of a mess than usual lol. The left side is the side I'm planning to keep so far.

You should keep the 125 and make it a freshwater tank.

I've thought about keeping it as a freshwater tank but I really don't have the space for a tank in the basement at the moment, plus I would rather get another rimless tank for a freshwater tank to keep upstairs. Plus despite what I thought, I'm having humidity issues down stairs and really don't want to have to install a dehumidifier. First thing is just getting the new tank going and then getting a small dedicated anemone tank going as well. Once all that is accomplished and I've had time to get some better furniture and get the rest of my house laid out the way I want I may consider a small rimless planted tank as well.

Now I just need to get a new outlet put in the wall behind the tank and get my radion tank mount bracket before I can start setting it up. Future mods will include an ecotech vectra quiet drive main pump, quiet drive vortec mp10 and super reef octopus skimmer. Those mods will take a while to achieve due to cost though,

Those mods will take a while to achieve due to cost though, Maybe you should go all Ecotech (kinda) and change up the skimmer? www.saltwateraquarium.com/quantum-160-protein-skimmer-nyos.html Wonder if they'll get them to use the Vectra in this or a newer version next time? I feel like Ecotech is way overdue to release their own skimmer anyways! Tank looks awesome by the way!
