I'm not sure how much cheaper you could find the DI resin but I know I but two packs of the 1 micron sediment filters for like $11 from ace hardware and the 2-5 micron carbon blocks for like $12.99 for a 2 pack. I'm probably going to start ordering everything from The Filter Guy's. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this company and the prices are almost unbeatable. Sears is usually over priced on everything except craftsman tools. thefilterguys.biz/filters.htmthefilterguys.biz/di_resin.htm

Just wanted to let everyone know that Greg, the owner of Cultivatedreef.com can get Super Reef Octopus Skimmers. I just got a price quote on another skimmer from him and I have to say, What a nice guy. I'm very impressed!

Got my SRO from Greg and none of the other retailers could come close to beating the price.

Best place for a good deal has got to be Craigslist.com!!! Just bought a 6ft hamilton metal halide and VHO setup all working, for $230 bucks. I bought my original one for over $1100. Best place to buy corals, tanks and other reef stuff as well.

I remember Rick gave a talk up this way on lionfish in the Caribbean a few years ago. The folks across the hall from him made my ray tank.
