Not everyone in this hobby realizes that shopping around for the best deal really makes a difference on our wallets. Here is a great way for us hobbyists to help each other out. When we find a good deal on a product or livestock, lets post about it and let everyone know. This hobby is increasingly expensive and if we can all spread the word then maybe we can all save a few extra bucks to make our hobby cheaper. Here are a few good deals I've found if anyone is interested.
Poly filters-
Marine Depot has the common 4 by 8 size for $7.49 a pad. Buy 12 or more and they only cost $6.71 a pad. Now that's a good deal.

Instant ocean salt-
I switched to it because the over priced tropic marin pro reef that I had been buying was causing issues with ALK and Ph in my reef. I can now buy a 200 gallon mix box of regular instant ocean for $44.95 with free shipping for any order over $49. Gotta love getting more for my money and having my reef looking good again.

Metal halide bulbs.
Some places charge as much as $80 per bulb. I buy all my Hamilton 250 watt single ended metal halide bulbs from Aquacave.com. It doesn't matter if they are 10,000k 14,000k or even 20,000k bulbs. They all cost $59.99 a bulb. Usually I buy mine around any major holidays because quite often I get get up to 15% off my entire order. Helps a lot on a tight budget.

Walmart carries really cheap food grade nori seaweed sheets. Around $3 for 20 half sheats. Most grocery stores will have food grade nori seaweed sheets in or near the Asian food area.
Petco has about the cheapest price for all sized cans of Formula 2 flake food.
These are just a few of the good deals I have found over the last few years. I hope we can all continue to add to this list so that we can all save some more of our hard earned money!
