Finished the refuge tank. It's not super pretty but it will do the job.

Waiting for the silicone to cure is killing me! I'm at a complete stand still and I want to put water in this thing SOOOO badly.

Took a road trip yesterday and hit up Rob in Lisbon for an awesome deal on some branch rock. Then drove to Dennis' place in Brunswick for some established water and Chaeto. Last stop was Brian in Woolrich for some rock for my dad and a few more gallons of water. Nice too meet everyone and see some sweet set ups and corals. Here's the branch rock. I just threw it in for now. I have way too much rock right now to even try to do anything but just keep it wet. Here's the sump in action, I'll be tearing it all down next week when I do the aquascaping so once againI just threw the stuff in there to keep the rock wet and flowing,

I have all the hardware that I need to build the controller and LED fixture. NOw I just need to start reading so I have the knowledge.

I can't wait for that one, I want to make an arduino to control my "value" LEDs

If you don't mind me asking what's the specs on the light going to be? What was the total cost for each build separately?
Thinking about trying to build my own led for my frag tank build. Idk if I could swing the controller?

If you don't mind me asking what's the specs on the light going to be? What was the total cost for each build separately? Thinking about trying to build my own led for my frag tank build. Idk if I could swing the controller? I updated the parts list on the first post for you. It's broken down by Tank, Light, Controller. You can buy a light cheaper than you can build one these days. Also keep in mind that my prices are inflated on some things. I'm building this tank so I can upgrade to a larger one down the road. I want to be able to reuse everything I bought so I'm purchasing things that are either too big or upgradable. Just like the LEDs I purchased...you certainly don;t need 70+ LEDs over a ten gallon tank. I could have went with 3 3W LEDs and it would have been fine. Hell, an $11.99 "Super Chip" LED would have done the trick.

Also the power supply is complete overkill but once again I'll be able to utilize it later. Also the 5 drivers...why do you need to control 5 different colors...you don't but I want to be able to. You can build one MUCH cheaper than what I'm doing.

(Super chip) With the right lens I'm sure it would. I'm more interested in the controller but I'm very limited in my knowledge of electronics.idk if I could accomplish it.

Step one...solder the 5 LDD Board. I bought this premade board but the drivers are sold separately so they have to be soldered. Not to shabby for never attempting it.
