Rob, this is for you. Back in the SWAM days, you gave me a mantis shrimp. She was awesome and gave us a few years of entertainment. The very, very end of this video is the reason you gave her to me, I think.

I was going to re post this video because I saw it on lances Facebook but I searched and found it was already in here!

I was doing some offshore fish surveys in California a few years ago and a few mantis shrimp came up in the nets. I picked one up on a dare, and it got me!. It hurt worse than the butterfly ray that got me a few days prior!

Bravo! I had about a dozen of these I got hitch hiking on some Tampa Bay Saltwater rock. A real trial to remove them from 150 lbs of rock in a 75 gallon tank. They truly are little bastards.
