Hi, It would be nice if we had a club up here. Any reefers interested in trying to re-ignite a club? I know that our past clubs disbanded from what I've heard due to politics in the club/s. I would at least like to get a local network going of folks for purchasing and trading livestock. Anybody out there interested? Let's get some chatter going. Thanks! That was the intention of this site, we used to have a couple gatherings a year at people's houses, but things have kind of died out.

I broached this subject last year and had mixed responses. I’m up for it! We had a baby so my organization time was/is limited. Local frag swaps would be great!

I would be interested in meeting up more often and tank tours/open houses to check out everyones setup. I dont feel there needs to be a new club per say. Perhaps we can ask an admin to create an events section and we can collectively share/organize stuff like this?

Was going through some pics the other day on my computer and came across pictures of Anthony Calfo and Frank Marini when they were here several years ago. Had some good club meets back then.

I’m in! I could poke around the kennebec county area to ask for some additional places to rent out and host club meet ups/frag swaps! I know a few places in that area that are good for events like this! Most of which r good rates to rent out! There are a couple legions and other rental places we can use heck the new g force arcade and laser tag facility has a room for parties and they have great group rates! So if anyone’s interested let me know and I can work out a deal for a meetup! I also happen to be a member of the viles arboretum in Augusta and we have a conference room we use for events and other gatherings as well! So I can call up and ask if that’s something we can do also!

I've been a bit out of the loop since it's been almost 2 years now without a tank of my own, but let me know if you guys want me to create a new section for "Events" or "Meet Ups" etc.. could also / alternatively sticky them in this section.

What if I remember setting up the meeting hahaha that's when I was on the board for saltwater addicts of maine.... Sux not having an actual club making $$ anymore... making $$ is how we afforded to fly Anthony and Frank here. The main reason the club dissolved is 1/2 wanted to go not for profit and half wanted to get paid to be on the board of directors, the treasurer quit the site director stole the $$ and poof no more club Would be nice to do again I wanted not for profit because that's what vendors started requiring to give donations for yearly raffle... |
