umm isnt that kinda defeating the purpose of buying them? You buy the corals to enjoy them, grow them out and when they get to big, you frag them your self and sell the frags. In order to buy more frags that grow into more colonies that you can frag.  Get it? Lol |

It can be a lot of work but it's a labor of love. Plus when corals are growing well they get big and need to be trimmed which leads to having frags that grow and so on. Before you know it youve got a ton of corals that need to be sold or traded off to make room for new corals.

wow sounds more like WORK! I was planning on only having a pretty tank? In this hobby pretty = fully grown out tank of all the corals you love. How much work it is will be completely up to you really. If you need things trimmed back you could always offer all the corals at once to a Lfs and get store credit for your reefing needs. Nothing better then having a self sustainable hobby imo. I try to make sure all my salt, carbon, fish food and frags are paid for with my "tank money"... Makes purchases easier to explain to the wife as well! |

Plus this is what frag swaps are for. If you had corals you could list them here and sell them to members coming to the swap. |
