Well my frag tank and display tank are coming along nicely. Picked up some more gorgonians and changed up my aquascape a bit yesterday. Attachments:

Thanks, I've had so many reef tanks now lol. I just have the goal of trying to place corals in a manner that looks like nature put them there. I'm actually thinking of taking that new rock back out in favor of the old sponge covered rock that was in its place. I'll just have to remove the big purple sinularia from that rock though.

You should put a big clam in that left cove.

So I wasn't happy with the new rock so I decided to take the big sinularia off of the old rock and put the old rock back in. I then started adding some more gorgonians to the old rock. Th The s is where I'm at now. Much happier with the overall aquascape but there's still a couple gorgonians I still want. Attachments:

Like your "old" rock, but like the shape of the new one better😀

Yea I was torn between the two rocks. If the tank were about a foot longer that new rock could have fit better.

The shape of that new rock just didn't look like a natural reef formation to me which is why I eventually removed it. A bigger tank would be nice but just isn't in the works at this point. Plus I think if I were to have another "big" tank that would be a large natural freshwater tank setup as either a species tank with some sort of oddball fish in it or a South American biotope of some sort.

My frag tank is chock full, my clownfish are happy and it doesn't even look like I made a dent in my display tank with all the cutting I did last night!

So I just took a count of all the different species/color morphs of corals I'm working with between my two tanks. I'm up to 66 different types now lol.

Beautiful tank! Love the modern look and your aquascaping looks great! I hope you will have frags of that green Sinularia when I get my tank set back up this summer

I have a frag of the lighter green sinularia somewhere but the brighter green Palau nepthea I do not. I got both neptheas from cultivated reef though and Greg almost always has frags of it.

So I got to try out a pair of mp40 quiet drive vortechs on my tank this morning. Turns out two is way too much power even on the lowest setting, one would work but then I only have one direction of flow so it looks like I'm in the market for a pair of mp10 quiet drive vortechs for my tank now.
