I Appreciate the offer man. It really is worth it to just drive up though when I can. Even if it is 2 hours away.

Are these constant digs at Aquacorals really necessary? Or even constructive? I mean I apprecciatethat, you, both as a former employee of Aquacorals or even as a coustomer that you were somehow wronged. It happens, I think we all understand that. But to constantly keep bringing it up and posting it on here just seems abit off. Yes its a public forum. Yes you have the right to post this stuff. But at the same time why keep going back to it. I for one have gone to her store for years and value what she has to offer. You arent going to like every store you visit. I am sure this Dennis guy might not be a bad guy to some. To some he is. I personally dont shop there. For reasons I dont put out on forums. Really though, this thread is a helpful idea for new people or even old people. But lets try to keep, clearly biased, opinions in a seperate thread at the least. I get it you were wronged. You have given some good ideas and topics on these forums put the rest to bed. For those who dont like Deep Sea Creations. The link is up look at is you will. Make your own decisions but lets keep it productive.
Holy bad grammar... mental note let the coffee set in before posting on forums. Sorry for the choppy post lol

That's fine, Sorry I went overboard with the topic. I didn't think it was bothering anyone. I just got really burnt from my experience there and wish more people could understand what I and some others have dealt with. With that said I'll let it rest. Sorry if it offended anyone.

well seems how it was brought up..... its been 7 years since my experience and it still bothers me if I go somewhere and have a bad experience every time or someone tries to steal a fish from one of my friends cops had to get their fish back!! same thing she tried to do to me- when someone contacts you wanting to buy a 9" sohal tang from you, you work out a deal so the person was going to give me 3 frags she pd $5 each for (less because it was store credit she pd) then after I tare apart my tank to catch the fish without getting cut (3 hrs) drive 1 1/2hrs and then she tries to dump it in her tank wile telling me she cant give me anything for it because it is to big? when I stopped her she got upset yelled and told my dad and I we are horrible because the fish will die in the 5g bucket on the way home............. my experience is she tried to rip me off as well as a few of my friends and I remember when it was a basement hobby for her,(before the store) she wouldnt sell me anything because I didnt run a dsb!! having said my piece I recommend that everyone visits any and every store make up your own mind. personally I will only do business with ppl I can trust! is there a link to anyone that has anything positive to say about this store? or any good deals she has. I did stop in last year and she had a baby onyx 3/4" for $65 and a small acan frag 4-5 heads for $80 and a 3 polyp branching lobo for $110

Thanks "gotareef" for sharing and not leaving me all alone on that topic. Well said by the way. I will say though that its pretty hard to find a better deal on glass aquariums here in Maine unless you buy used from other stores or from private sale on Craigslist.

I have know Penny since she was operating out of the top floor of her house (even before she moved to the basement). I've always gotten along with her, but don't get up to her store very often. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that have good dealings with her. The same thing happens on EVERY forum out there; people have great experiences with a vendor and people have terrible experiences with a vendor. Like gotareef said, visit every store you can and make up your own mind.

I didnt mean to discredit anyones experience. By all means if you had a bad experience convey it. Let people know. Then call it good. Thats it. Gotareefs post is right on. Converyed his experience and his feelings and done. Good or bad its how these boards go. I wasnt offended Ryan, i would just rather read your posts on positive things like what your doing with your tank, and what things your fragging and selling. Thats it ;D [ i]having said my piece I recommend that everyone visits any and every store make up your own mind. personally I will only do business with ppl I can trust! [/i][/blockquote] Words to post by for sure. Anyway not trying to throw flames or anything. Lets carry on with reefing as usual....

I have to agree with Ryan and Rob... There are always going to be good and bads with every place. Every store is not going to have 100% satisfaction... if they do... great. However, this is a forum and i think people should feel free to post their experiences may it be good or bad. I like to know the reasons certain people dont shop at certain places it helps me decide if it is really worth the trip or not... just my opinion..

If anyone else on here wants to hear more about how my experience up there went bad, feel free to PM me or send me an email about it.
Do you know if that $1 per gallon tank sale has any restrictions like up to 55 gallons or anything?
I wish I could make it down to Jays at some point. Anyone interested in a carpool event with shared gas cost? I did manage to visit the Portland Petco and talk with Seamonkey84 for a bit today. He's got a lot of cool fish and even some decent corals and bubble tips in stock right now. I really wish I had bought the glass cardinals while I was there today but oh well. Lots of cool stuff to see though.

From Friday November 23rd until Sunday December 23rd Aquatic Creations will sell every tank sold as part of a complete set up for only a "buck" a gallon. This offer covers all stock size glass aquariums from 1 to 100 gallons. *offer does not include curved glass, kits or custom orders
As well as offering the "buck a gallon" discount Aquatic Creations will offer a 20$ gift certificate towards your purchase of fish to fill your new aquarium when you buy any complete set up through our store.
I believe you also have to buy equipment (skimmer, lights, etc) to get the deal, so if you are only looking for a tank it may not apply, but if you are looking to get started from scratch or set up a whole new system, Myk gets some great deals.
