Most of my macros are gone. But I'll let you know if the red grows enough to harvest.

A pic of the Blastos I recently added. The darker ones on the left are from CR and the ones on the right from Jasonandsarah. And I finally took a halfway decent pic of the tailspot blennie.

A little bit of a disappointing day. I made a special trip down to Easy to pick up a Randalls goby that they ordered for me only to find out they got the wrong one . I was interested in a darwin oce clown they had gotten in, but they wanted 60$ apiece. Crazy overpriced as Greg has them for 29 each. So today will just be WC and glass scraping. Nothing new to add.

A pleasant surprise when messing with this tank tonight. My red mini carpet has split!! Of course both of them are hiding behind plumbing :/ perhaps they are more photo sensitive after splitting?

Most of my nem's hide when they split. They normally go back to around the same spot when they're healed up though.

I figured as much. It's interesting to note that about 1 maybe two days before it split all the corals in the tank were upset. They all closed up like the tank was crashing(even the shrooms looked shriveled). The fish/inverts/nems were all fine thought. Which prompted me to add a couple bags of GAC. I remember thinking the red mini carpet looked a bit funny and I thought it might be splitting, but it did have two visible mouths that I could tell. They both seem to be doing well, if in an odd spot(attached to the glass on the back wall almost at the waterline).
I'm think coral stocking this tank maybe almost finished. Coraline is getting out of control. Nitrates are still zero inspite of feeding heavier. I'm going to move a couple zoas to my other 29 and will be adding some more rock flower nems.
for fish additons; I'll be adding a randals prawn goby(assuming easy gets it in) then I'm not sure. Maybe a combo of tanaka's possum wrasse and pink streaked wrasse, and possibly a chalk bass. I'm thinking that will finish stocking off. I'd like to add a yellow assessor but I'm not sure it would get along with the chalk bass?

Being a fresh water guy I'm sure you have some flourish sitting around. For the chalk bass and yellow assessor I'd ask ryansweatt2004

Yeah I'd thought about using old tank water from my fw setups as ato water

As far as stocking I'm now leaning toward just the possum and pink streaked wrasse and then either a yellow or blue assessor and maybe a yellow striped cardinalfish.

Added a tropical abilone from LA on Friday. So far it seems to be doing OK and staying on the glass. Stays put during daylight ours and the pods seem to like hiding underneath it's shell

good to know. I've kind of given up on RC. Either no one attempts to answer a question posed or it turns into an angry debate, very disappointing. This place is great, just a little on the small side. A side note the backordered sexy shrimp from LA got shipped to me yesterday without asking me if I would be around to accept the delivery(which they told me they would do) so I got UPS to hold them and picked them up when I got out of work. They acclimated fine but their water was cold enough so I don't know if a fish would've made it. The UPS loading facility isn't kept very warm

The UPS loading facility isn't kept very warm Idk if you asked our not but, when picking up live animals from ups or fedex all you have to do is tell them it's live animals and they'll keep them warm and toasty in the office for you. I've done this more then once when a package has gotten delayed. Also if you know your driver they might keep it up front for you. It's against the rules from what I've been told but like I said if you have a good driver you know it can happen.

Finally getting around to figuring out the plumbing of my RO unit. Ended up finding a piece of remaining copper pipe so I was able to use a saddle valve instead of cobbling a bunch of adapters to go from pex. Although yesterday I found Lowes now carries Watts brand push connectors and they have a 1/2 MIP to 1/4 OD push in........now they carry it after I'm finished. So far I only have the RO side fed by a booster pump going to a pressure tank under the kitchen sink. Running the faucet for an hour to clean everything out. Next step will be connecting the icemaker in the fridge to it. Once I've made a reservoir for the the RODI water then it'll be done. It'll be interesting to see if I notice an improvement over using my well water.
