I fragged some corals for Christian, then added 4 more dispar Anthias and a copper band butterfly fish to my tank.

Trying to figure out an intelligent way to mount 2 48" T5 bulbs to my existing set up. Don't have or want a canopy so it's hard to do without it being an eye sore.

Yea I only ordered one because I got a $100 gift certificate for foster and smiths/Liveaquaria in trade for some stuff. I was gonna order a bunch of sea cucumbers but said screw it and ordered the reef link instead.

Finally got around to installing the 24" T5 retro kit in my canopy, one in front and behind my Radion. Going to have them on for 6 hours a day during peak hours. Looks good so far, time will tell how the corals react to it.

It sucks, I got it all installed, back on the tank, wired up and running............then remembered I wanted to take pictures. Now if I take pictures, it's not going to show it very well......but I'll see what I can do.
I did go with ATI Coral Plus bulbs.

I was able to get a picture this morning before the lights came on, it's a tight fit so I had to modify the reflectors a little to make them a little tighter to the Radion so everything could fit.

Looks good so far, time will tell how the corals react to it. Just finally got mine put together as well! Today will be the first day I run it. I'm running 2- 54 watt Ati bulbs 1 is blue plus and one is purple plus. 4 hours a day at peak hours. It's been a lot of bull crap though. The first ballast I got from Amazon was blown before I ever used it. So I cut off the waterproof end caps and plug so I could use them on an old ballast I already had. Fitted the whole thing into the hood that originally came with my tank. Works perfectly plus I have 3 of the ballasts so I'll always have backups! I like your idea of one in front and one in back but without a canopy it's not ideal for me right now. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Seems like a cool concept but I agree, without a canopy its a big eye sore. Just out of curiosity, are you guys adding the t5s solely for correcting any shadowing from the led pucks or is it for a color thing?

Shadowing for me..............the colors of the Radion Pro's is great alone.
