24 Cube, added two snails for more algea control. Rubbermaid reef did a 5 gallon water change, cleaned my skimmer fed some hungry coral and counted 11! Yes 11 Blue Agave polyps...this all from just a single polyp I bought from CR in December!!!

This morning I finished polyurethaning my new stand and the doors for it. Now I just finished removing all the ceramic Home Depot tiles from my tank for suspicion that the glaze was potentially leaching silicates and started re glueing all my remaining zoanthids and palys to clean peices of shelf rock and frag disks. Now I'm getting ready for a 20 gallon water change.

Overflowed my sump and left myself short on salt. that sux! hope all is good went about 12 hours with no return pump, ran the gfo reactor through the fuse for flow. Left the skimmer running to keep that section full of o2. Added 4 gallons of new saltwater last night and seems good no losses. |

well woke up to my tank shut off, smelled like burnt plastic... found the top of my 800w titanium tube heater leaking burnt tar into my tank !! (not good)
of course I dont have a replacement heater or carbon laying around, so now scrambling to borrow a heater, then go get carbon. I have my skimmer about as low as it can go and its still going nuts..
it sux petco is the ONLY STORE OPEN ON SUNDAY and dosnt have anything close to what I need for a heater.
SURE WISH THERE WAS A LFS OPEN TODAY (HINT HINT- easy aquarium)

tore my skimmer apart and cleaned and assembled it correctly seems to be running better now

so my 180 is doing better today... pretty sure my heater is what has been throwing things off in my tank for the past few months. today I emptied my skimmer cup again, full with black crap twice in 24 hrs. I am running about 3# of carbon right now in an aquaclear 110, everything seems happy lps corals that were receding are now puffy again, and my big bta looks the best it ever has. I ordered 2 finnex 800w heater tubes and testkits  for the 40g I ordered a couple nuvo spinstreams... |

Today I reglued a birdsnest frag that keeps falling, topheavy and my crabs are growing...I know, lye soap right? Cant wait to do the move to the larger tank so that everything can have its own space to be glued in place to grow out.
cleaned the skimmer cup and sprayed down the mangroves with rodi water to remove the salt.

I noticed my algae clearing up and did a touch down victory dance.....this concerned the fish.
