Curious if there any adverse side effects of using homemade concrete frag plugs... I received some and was concerned.

To the best of my knowledge, There shouldnt be any reason for not using them unless they are not fully cured. Reef tanks all over the world have homemade concrete plugs, rocks and even whole tanks made from concrete.

I had a thick concrete frag rock it was about 2" when we cut it to frag the coral the inside was black and smelled like sulfur.
concrete disks are alright but not anything thick
