Found these today and figured I'd share a side by side comparison of what people think is the difference between reef safe ones and not reef safe ones. First picture "not reef safe" Second picture "reef safe" third picture left-not reef safe /right-reef safe I personally take everyone I find out but if I see one that has colored spots like this one I'll take rocks out and dig it out if I have to.

Those are the same ones I have in my tank, both with spots and without. I was taking them out as fast I would see them, but they just keep appearing. I never see them doing any harm to the corals, but I can start pulling them again.

I have never seen I've doing damage either but they feed at night and as soon as I shine a flash light in there they all start trying to disappear. I just don't take a chance and I just take them all out any time I see them. Once a week or so I make it a mission to wake up and search them out before they can skidaddle. I rarely find the ones with the spots I think this is the second one

A few years back I had tons of these to the point that when they ran out of food and they started dying off it cause a partial crash of my tank so I would say take as many out and keep the population in control. I have not had any in my tank since the crash.

I have seen them eat palys, sps, softies may be safe but I have seen them leave a trail up the stem of a softie maybe it was snacking along the way, not sure about them eating lps? murder every one you can find! they are bad news... I always had good luck at night. after a few hrs of total darkness turn on the light and start killing (just dont use a spear J/K)
