I have some algae growing that I haven't really seen before, its this hair algae? If it is its bad right? What do I do to get rid of it?

a cuc will eat whats there but if you want it gone you need to eliminate its food. phosphate and nitrate
because a cuc can just tear it up and spread it and if you just let it grow it will become sexual and spread throughout the tank if you manually remove it dont just pinch and pull it breaks apart and spreads you need to take the rock out scrub it (or powerwash it in some cases) rinse well then put it back in you could try to pinch it and siphon it out but that dosnt always get the roots and dosnt always get all the pieces that break off

I got some astrea snails from Easy that are hair algae gluttons. And very thorough. Had to remove my mexican turbos though because they seem to find the astreas a tasty treat. Weird huh?
