I made a visit to this place today in Biddeford, it's in a warehouse and has a ton of space. The owner is starting to do retail but only on saturdays at this time and ongoing. It was quite different than most places I've visited with a strong emphasis on educating visitors. The owner is a professor at UNE and his business combines expirements, med tanks, quaranteen, fresh and saltwater breeding, it was a lot to take in. I got to see a new mobile reef tank for children's hospitals and heard how they are doing research as to how the tanks help children recover, Since my job is working with children I found this to be awesome. This place will officially open in August and host a grand opening during the marine fish symposium at UNE. He is also going to do a few things that I think are game changers for local hobby, he will have a coral consignment tank for his customers, bring stuff in leave it and split the sale 80/20, and will also host a quarterly coral fleamarket at the warehouse inviting numerous vendors and hobbiest alike, as well as having lessons and public speakers, this could very well become a hub for saltwater enthusiast in Maine/Mass/NH. You can also buy fresh rotifers...and soon the elusive cant get anywhere at a fair price berghia nudibranches.

I brought Jess to see it after we met up with you yesterday. I've been there once before but I think it's amazing! His corals were AMAZING!!!! Wish I had some money to blow! LOL Anyways, If you all havent been there, make sure you do. Tell him your from the site, hes gotten a few of us! lol He'll add you to his list of what he calls his family and he'll give you great deals. The best part of rick is that he genuinely wants to HELP us hobbyists! He's even setting up a lounge area so that we can all get together to sit and talk tank talk. I'm personally in love with the place and im stoked with all the plans he's making for the place!
