New light is in! Definitely need to save up for a second one, but I have light over my tank finally.   Pic over the tank is at 30% on both the blue and white channels.  |

Very nice! I'm looking into getting the photon 16. How do you like the controller on it? Are you getting some decent shimmer?

The controller is pretty good. Only beef is that it is in half hour intervals, so it could look a little weird when it first jumps to the next intensity. They will be having another group buy in mid April on reef central if you aren't in a hurry. Also, these are user serviceable, ie; if an led burns out or you just want to swap and try different color spectrum combos you can buy individual leds from reef breeders. I'm just happy I can finally start adding some corals!

I have a 96W fixture from them that I absolutely love and my corals are doing great. I'm sure you will end up loving yours too.

Very nice! I'm looking into getting the photon 16. How do you like the controller on it? Are you getting some decent shimmer? If we are talking about the same thing then yes, there seems to be a god amount of what i would call shimmer. Any fellow reefers that would like to come by and see these lights are welcome to. Alternately, if you would simply like to see a tank with Filthy glass, we are here for that too.  |
