So, I'm curious about some algae in my tank... I've heard someone mention "Red slime" and I def have some dark red algae. I also have this brownish algae that grows a lot on my sand and makes smudges on my glass. Any idea what these are?

in the second pic I took my glass scrubbing tool and brushed the top layer away so you could see the color difference in the sand. Thanks everyone

I have tons and tons of little tiny bug looking things that crawl all over the place. They're almost too tiny to see! Im thinking copepods. I still have to fix my sand but other than that, everything seems to be doing well. My nitrates are always between 10 and 20 but the corals are all doing just fine...It was just that hammerhead and frogspawn and the one finger leather that died. I honestly think they may have been on their way out when I got them...they all came from the same person and he told me that he had just kinda "stopped taking care of it" because he was sick of maintaining it. I should have thought twice!
