First, im curious what kind of coral this is? It came as a hitch hiker with my hammers. Also, in the second pic, im just curious what the whitish/yellowish soft slimy stuff is that has the points to it on the stock of my hammers. Thanks in advance!

these are the ones I was talking about (they look identical to me) and very common enough so allot of people give them away

the article is interesting but if you realy want to see something scary google Gambierdiscus toxicus it is the most toxic thing in the world (from nature) its a type of algae, who knows how much of it has reached our aquariums
