I would go with one of these myself reefbreeders.com/par_38_leds.htmlbut either will probably give you a spotlight effect. look into strip lights they will light the whole tank

Iiiiinteresting. I like that little guy. I'd never seen red or violet in any of those spot lights. Pretty neat. I'll have to remember that one

Gotareef, thank you for the link! We have T5 Ho lighting fixtures for our 2 other reef tanks. I don't know much about the LED's, but we're looking for a less expensive option for the 10 gallon. We'd like to possibly keep a clam in there or maybe some maxi mini carpet nems. What would you suggest for lightiing a 10 gallon that would put out decent PAR - we'd also definately want actinic properties to bring out the fluorescent properties.......Can this be done with LED's?

I personally use LEDtric full spectrum and just recieved their new full spectrum plus (they replaced cool whites with neutral and swaped in some regular blue as well)

Thank you, I'll look into those options as well. There are so many different options out there, especially for lighting.......and lighting can be so expensive!
