So it looks like my sand bed is finally working. I was just looking at it and I noticed the bubbles in the sand bed. I know its not huge but for me it's exciting that its finally working like it should! Also, completely unrelated but my palys are starting to pop out babies and I'm really excited about that too. LOL Anyways here's pictures of the sand out of the palys Ps: anybody know what that pinkish purple thing is on the side of the paly near the 3 little baby heads Sent from my Desire HD using proboards

But it's actually on her, like a part of her "skin" it's not attached. I'm wondering if maybe its some kind of fragging glue that the person i got it from used?

I'm pretty sure you got this frag from me.... I use a clear super glue gel.... It has never and should never turn this color. Is it algae???

I don't think its alge but I'm not positive. At least it's not affecting her ability to pop out babies!

Are you talking about the red stuff on the side/base of the frag? If so then it's definitely an algea of some sort or possibly a type of sponge or bacteria.

Yes, the red stuff on the side. Here's another pic of it, (she's closed cause one of my cleaner shrimp brushed by her). Now I'm worried something is wrong... Bacteria... I hate that word Lol Sent from my Desire HD using proboards

Don't worry about it. Lots of my corals have red, green and even black algea, bacteria or sponges growing around the base.
