Hi Maine Reefers! Just wanted to pass on this information is case it may help someone else in need. I came home from the FFM to find that my Radion XR30 Gen 3 had an ‘open circuit’ error on Mobius and no longer working. Needless to say, after spending all my money at the FFM, a new pair of Radion lights was not in the budget, and not much out there for used lights. I found a fellow reefer on reef2reef who repairs all kinds of electric reef gear. Has a YouTube channel as well showing in detail what he does when accessing and repairing equipment. The estimated cost for this Radion repair is $110, plus shipping….so much cheaper than $2,000 for a pair of new Gen 6 lights. Cost could a little higher if more then 2-3 LEDs need to be replaced, but will contact if more than the $110. His website for repair is: www.fixreef.com/YouTube channel: youtube.com/@fixreefReef2Reef User Name: _AV I shipped my light out last night and is on the way to Pennsylvania. I will give everyone an update how this process goes. Hope this might help someone else in a similar situation. Steve

That sucks you’re having issues with your light. That’s great info though! On a side note, did you try contacting ecotech marine about the issue? Usually getting them to do the repairs isn’t an issue price wise if it’s outside of warranty. I’ve had to get a few things fixed over the years and most everything with the exception of an old reef link have been pretty reasonable to have repaired from them.

Finally heard from EcoTech after a week…who said it is unlikely they can do anything for it…but send it in and if they can’t fix it, the would offer a percentage off a new 6g.
The FixReef.com guy as mentioned here received the light on Friday (UPS delivery was delayed for some reason), had it open and diagnosed on Friday evening with a $118 repair price and $10 return shipping! It had 3 LEDs that needed to be replaced and was fixed by Saturday morning and going in the mail tomorrow for hopefully a Wednesday delivery!
What an amazing service!
Now i can hold out a little longer until the G7s are released!
