Hi Maine Reefers!
Just wanted to pass on this information is case it may help someone else in need.
I came home from the FFM to find that my Radion XR30 Gen 3 had an ‘open circuit’ error on Mobius and no longer working. Needless to say, after spending all my money at the FFM, a new pair of Radion lights was not in the budget, and not much out there for used lights.
I found a fellow reefer on reef2reef who repairs all kinds of electric reef gear. Has a YouTube channel as well showing in detail what he does when accessing and repairing equipment.
The estimated cost for this Radion repair is $110, plus shipping….so much cheaper than $2,000 for a pair of new Gen 6 lights. Cost could a little higher if more then 2-3 LEDs need to be replaced, but will contact if more than the $110.
