Well it was time To build a new stand for my 55 gallon planted night stand aquarium. Mainly I wanted to build something a bit nicer that would match the rest of my furniture I’ve been building. Still some more work to SRO. I’ll update in a few days once I’m finished building and sanding.

So it’s been a minute since I updated this build. New stand is in place, I added a background, rehoused out silver dollars and a lot of live plants.

Looks nice! How are the archers doing? What do you have for a filter.

The archers are doing great but one is a bully. I, using an FX4 canister for filtration.

Some updated pics. Thanks to spotfin for the giant clump of Java fern on the right side of the tank. It really was an awkward spot and that plant filled it in just perfectly and it looks like it naturally grew there as well! Attachments:

Since rehoming my group of silver dollars, the roots on all the trident Java fern have started to grow back and the plants as a whole are really thriving! Attachments:

So it’s been a minute since I’ve updated this build. I’ve added a new Peter’s elephant nose fish. I unfortunately lost three out of the four clouded archers from a rando bacterial infection. All the rest of the fish are doing amazing and the plants have really taken off over the last few months. Attachments:

So it’s been a while since I’ve updated everyone on this tank. After letting it grow out of control I decided it was time to change it up. I bought a couple new pieces of driftwood from fish tails pet emporium and decided to change my acuascape. Replanted everything, removed a few plants and a ton of snails as well. Dealing with a bit of hair algae on plants from dosing too much plant fertilizer but hints are going good overall. Spent some time the other night pruning back dead bits and trimming up the jungle Val as well. Attachments:
