Maine Pet in Ellsworth

I stopped in yesterday for the first time and was impressed.  This is the only pet store that I have stopped in in a very long time that also carries parts, pieces and accessories.  Want a media bag for your sump?  They got em.  Need a new bio wheel?  They got em.  Single test tube for that one you crushed when taking that silly plastic top off?  Yup, they got em.  Plenty of freshwater fish in the tanks, they were visible, clean, no floaters, and well labelled.  Stock ranged from the usual guppies and neons to several of the more unusual.  Tons of reasonably priced unusual corys.  Staff were attentive without making me feel like I just walked into a jewelry shop wearing the clothes I just came off my tractor with.  The last comment made to me by the lady at the counter summed up my impression of how they operate.  Without knowing me or knowing anything about my fish keeping experience, she just said "make sure that you acclimate them before adding them to your tank."  To me, that shows a level of concern for both the fish and the success of the customer.

Now if they were only closer to Augusta....
