Among other things that I do, I'm a stone carver. The granite sturgeon in Hallowell is one of mine. On a smaller scale, I'm looking at making some breeding cave stones for plecos. Is there a standard size hole that I should make? An assortment maybe? One stone with multiple sized holes? I have a small hoard of light green quartzite that would also serve well as hollowed out shelters for other fish as well. Plenty of potential with a multitude of different stones. Basically if it's hard, I can carve it.

Nice! I would guess the size of the hole would depend on the species of pleco. Probably don't want it too big. Not sure about multiple holes. Multip!e holes might allow for unwanted tank mates to enter the cave and eat the eggs.
Where in Hallowell is the granite sturgeon? They are my favorite fish!
