I'm looking to get back in the freshwater aquarium game after being out for several years. I'm looking at the JBJ 65 gallon all-in-one setup. Does anyone have any experience with this tank?

No experience with this brand of tank. Looks like a nice set up. So, everything is built into the back of the tank? In other words, there is not a sump? What are you looking to keep for fw?

Yes, everything is built into the back, which seemed like a neat and tidy way to go. The back of the tank essentially replaces the sump.
I'm thinking I'd like to have at least a couple of decent sized angels as the "highlight fish", along with other compatible species that would add some color (rams, rainbow kribs, flame gouramis, dwarf neon rainbows, etc.). I've had this type of tank in the past and done well with it. I might consider adding a discus or two sometime down the road. I've had mixed results with discus in the past, but I was successful on at least one occasion.
If I've overlooked any other colorful species that are compatible with angels, I'm all ears!
I'm not sure about the type and quantity of substrate I should use for this type of tank. Any advice in this, or any other areas, would be greatly appreciated.
One more thing. I live in Readfield, just outside of Augusta. I travel daily to the Brunswick/Wiscasset area for work. Where should I buy my fish and other supplies?
Thanks!

That would make a nice tank. Ryan has a sweet tank for sale if you were ok with a sump.
You probably know that angels can be nice ,or not-so-nice with tank mates. I would pass on discus in a community setting and would add a bunch of tetras. Maybe some Cory cats too.
For substrate, are you planning on live plants? I actual!y prefer sand or really fine gravel for substrate, with a few larger pebbles scattered around. One inch or so is usually good; don't go deeper. Drift wood adds a nice touch too.
I bought most of my supplies online. Some things can be found locally for decent prices.
Hunt around for fish. Petco and pet smart in Augusta are hit-or-miss. The topsham Petco is one of the nicer ones around. Marie there is very knowledgeable. Brooks Feed in Brunswick usually has a good selection, although it has seemed to decline in the past year. The reef store in the Topsham Mall has some freshwater fish as well. Check Louis Does in Newcastle when you are over Wiscasset way. Most places will order specific fish for you . Or online sources.
