I am new to reef keeping. I started my tank about 2 months ago. I’m having a hard time getting my calcium levels out of the 300’s. I’m using the Kent product as directed daily and there has been no movement. My corals look great and are growing like crazy. Thoughts suggestions?

What are you using for a test kit?

I prefer the Red Sea pro test kits, salifert Also makes good kits too. Depending on if and what you have for corals at this point, worrying about calcium may be a waste of your time. I’ve found that early on, alkalinity and salinity are more important to keep track of.

Also if your dosing I highly recommend bulk reef supply for getting bulk soda ash, calcium and magnesium to mix and dose. It’s stupid easy and pretty cheap too.

I see your in Bangor. If you want to bring a water sample up to Old town you can check out all my corals and compare with your test kits. I sell Redsea master kits as well as all the BRS additives too.
