About a year ago, a buddy gave me this tiny plain looking spec of a coral and said it was a pectinia. It was so tiny that it was hard to tell what it was. Furthermore, it was entombed in vermtid snails and on it way to dying. So I crushed most snails with a screwdriver and glued the rest closed. Over the next few months, it stayed in medium flow, medium light and got feed reef rods once a month or so.
Its turning into a nice piece. I believe it's a rainbow pectinia. It has purple flesh and a green and red mouth area.
It's in the circle. Space invader pectinia with its tentacles out behind it. Just wanted to share my little success story.
