Welcome to the forum either way and if your looking for a tank there is a few on our site under hardware and Craigslist always has them and most are pretty cheap! Good luck and always ask if you need anything! Take care

Yea but a 55 is still better than a 29 lol. Nice looking tank, be bey careful with the maroon and ocellaris pair, usually that does not work out, the maroons are very aggressive. Though rare, ocellaris and maroons can pairs up successfully, and even breed. As long as your going to be getting a much bigger tank, or have plans to rehome that tang you'll be fine . Btw: welcome to the club! I'm Chi from the Portland Petco

Yeah, I know. I got mine with my tank, thats why I have her. Honestly i adore her and she has tons of personality! I plan to keep her until she gets too big for my tank, then ill re-home her. Unless of corse by then I have a much bigger tank. My hubby is actually starting to like the hobby as well and he keeps pointing out areas in our house where we could fit a giant tank! LOL Btw Lesser, i'm gonna have to see your tank soon! Maybe get some frags?

I've actually had my maroon for about 6-7 years and the ocellaris for about 3 years. They are not best friends but get along fine. I am a sucker for the lonley fish in the tank at the store....They were both the last ones left.

I would love seahorses, but always thought they were hard to keep. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I've never had them but I've sat in on a few lectures on how they are bred. The main challenge with the majority of seahorses is feeding them. As MOST of them need live prey. Sometimes you can find some that are advertised as taking frozen foods. Aside from feeding they need a unique set up. Tall vertical column or cube or hex. Def taller than it is long. They aren't the best of swimmers so low flow. They tend to rest or hang onto their surrounding. Small diameter branch rock is ideal.
The set up can be figured out reasonably fast, but the food is either a pain to grow or expensive to buy

When I was keeping dwarfs I would by the shrimp eggs and add a squirt to the tank everyday, most hatched in about 24 hours so there was always live food for them in their tank.
