So, my hubby and I ripped the tank apart tonight because my wrasse was relentlessly attacking my clowns (makes me wonder if thats why my other clown died a few days ago) anyways, we took the wrasse out and the three evil damsels so our tank is now a way happier environment for our current fish. My issue is we bought a new clown last night and the wrasse kept attacking it and now its fins are pretty shredded up. I notice now (not seen before tonight) the bigger clown is being kind of aggressive twards the smaller clown but thats kind of to be expected I guess. Anyways, is the little guy gonna be OK with the shredded fin? The wrasse also took a chunk out of the firefish. Will these heal and is there anything I can do to help?

The fins will heal, I add some stress coat to help. The bigger one is going to pick on the smaller one for a bit, I would only intervene if the smaller one is getting really stressed, and remove the bigger one for a couple days, let the little guy adjust and heal a bit then put the bigger one back in. I like to move a couple rocks around to so it seems like a different environment. I have for, two large two smaller, all three of the bigger ones took after the smallest one. After 3 days and fins so tattered he could hardly swim I removed him and put him in a small over fill box that I attached to the inside of my main tank (I didn't have a sump or anywhere else to keep another fish) I had it so it sat just low enough to get water flow but not so the others could swim in. After about 3 wks he would swim in and out on his own and eventually he reintroduced himself to the tank and everyone is fine. Good luck with the little guy!!

I've never heard of stress coat. (still very new to this) I dont have somewhere I could put another fish as of right now, but the more I think about it the more I think i should just get a small tank just for things like this. We did tear the tank COMPLETLY apart yesterday in order to get out the agressive fish. My sixline was EVIL to my clowns and a chunk was missing from my firefish's tail We took the sixline out and 3 agressive little damsels. To do this we took all the live rock out and put it in buckets with water and we removed some of the sand ive been meaning to get rid of and then we rearranged everything when we put it all back. The big one isnt being horrible like the wrasse was, she's just being a bit territorial. Almost every time she chases him he does the "twitchy" thing but she doesn't go crazy. Thanks for your advice, I know you have a lot of clowns so I figured you'ld prob know! lol OH, and im happy to report the little clown now loves the BTA too!!! YAY!!!
