SO, I went back to the Dover petco tonight (not Portsmouth) and I bought their last single saddleback. I think this guy may have originally been from the same batch as the last pair I got, (not sure if that helps) but im in the process right now of acclimating him. He's def smaller than my current so i hope they get along!!! Anyways, when I came home I saw something I wasnt prepared for. I saw my current SB in my BTA. At first, I was pretty scared, he was just chillin, not really moving and my first thought was "im pretty sure these two arent on the compatibity chart together, so is the BTA eating my clown?! I watched for a few mins and relalized he made buddies with the BTA! I did the biggest happy dance! LOL Now im wondering how the new one will get along with my current clown and I hope he teaches the other clown that the BTA is a friend. Anyways, I'm STOKED!!! Here's a pic

Takes them a little bit too get used to nems, way I understand it is they do it a little at a time cause they create a thicker slime coat to protect against the sting. I have 4 clowns, they all share the nems and there's no aggression. However, I would expect there to be a bit between your two, part of the sexing process. Sometimes it gets pretty hairy but they usually fair thru it all well. I would target feed your nem mysis or other nutrient rich food so he gets some color back, wouldn't worry so much about light as I would food. They arent really that demanding when it comes to light or even water quality. Food and low stress enviroment are most important right now. Someone has such a bleached out bta that it is a light neon green under lights, they think it's cool, I feel bad.

Awww! I used to think it was cool, until i realized it meant they were dying!!! It's sad that a lot of people dont know that it's slowly killing them! So, I'm shocked that I just put the bta in last night and the clown already was in it when i came home. Like I said, HAPPY DANCE! lol I did introduce the two clowns and honestly i didnt see one sign of aggression. It appears to be love at first sight. They were swimming together and twitching lol so I'm hoping it stays that way! I'm SO happy! As far as the food goes I bought a bunch of mysis and brine and a multi-pack so I can give him a variety. Thanks so much for your help Jess.

The bta will host all clowns (most any damsel that associates with nems) even if they aren't naturally accociated with each other. That's the other beautiful thing about them, besides the colors and hardyness.
