If I wanted to re-scape my reef so it doesn’t look like a bunch of rock tossed in, how can I attach the rocks to each other without them falling down? I know to let them but the look is just not working for me. Hubby wants to take them out and permanently form them into the caves and put them back in. What can I use to “glue” them together that won’t harm the reef? Any help and/or pictures would help. (60gallon)

Get yourself a cordless drill and some different sized masonry drill bits. I like 1/8, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 7/8 sized bits. Then you can drill different sized holes and either pin the rocks together with zip ties, acrylic rods or CPVC or PVC pipe. It’s easy, just start every hole off small and work your way up to whatever size you need. As a side note, drilling holes is also a great way to improve water flow through dense rocks and create new fish/invertebrate hideouts.
