I stumbled upon a "green severum" that I decided to grow out, I don't have that color in my tank so I figured I'd pick it up. Upon doing research I discovered it may be what is called heros notatus (spotted severum) but not sure. It's only and inch long, has full black bars but tiny red spots in between the bars as well as on the head. I don't think I'd be able to get a picture as he's so tiny. Anyone have an idea?

Hard to tell. Usually green severums refers to heros severus, the most common wild type severum. Although almost all sold today are of hatchery origin unless your vendor can order wild stock. You will most likely have to grow yours out more to get a better Id.
