Hey guys,
I’m thinking about starting myself another saltwater tank again. It’s been a few years and when I tried before I failed a little bit. I’m thinking of just doing a 10-20 gallon nano tank. What are some things I should do to make sure this tank goes right? What equipment should I have? Can use all the advice I can get. I have saw this evo 12 saltwater kit and what are your thoughts?
Thanks guys!

Without getting into the details, the following are generally important Consistent water change Keep bioload low Research before buying Redundancy can save the day. If something can fail, it will fail on the first day you leave for a long vacation.
Good luck. Vijay

With such a small tank a good Auto Top off unit is a must otherwise your params will constantly constantly change. Also low bioload 1 to 2 fish max for 10 gallon as many af 4 to 5 for a 20 depending on filtation.

I just recently got a innovative marine all in one 10 gallon cube and love it. I would recommend it if you plan on going that small. I also strongly agree with scoobnoob that a good ato is crucial no matter what size the tank, but especially important on a small tank. Other than that I would just say take it slow

a 20 gallon may not be the best option for a first reef tank... with a tank that size there is little room for error. I would recommend a 40 breeder as ideal - not too expensive for equipment, and enough water to cushion you from mistakes.
