I was wondering if anyone uses an api ph test kit and is it any good that’s one of the few big things I don’t Test now.

Red Sea are more accurate and is what I use

I think the api test kit for ph is fine... you don't need the test to be very accurate, an approximation is all that is necessary. The ph of reef tanks change quite a bit daily due to many factors... lights, co2 in room, etc. The Red Sea is probably more accurate but I don't think it is worth the price for what you get. Now, alk is another story :-)

I wouldn't consider PH an important parameter that requires testing. You will frustrate yourself with the results.... lower when the lights are off, higher when the lights are on, higher when the windows are open, lower when you have guests over in the winter. You'll drive yourself crazy. Don't do that to yourself.
