It's really impossible to tell someone to use a specific salt..........everyone's water supply is different. What works well for one person and their water, will be totally different for another person and their water.

I bought some of the discounted salt and have been using it for a few weeks and have done 4 water changes. In this period of time I lost 3/4 of my green hammer colonie and had several algae blooms as well as 5 heads of purple hammer that died. I tested and dosed daily so it wasn’t my calcium, magnesium, or KH. Thought i’d post this here as a warning. I have since switched to Red Sea salt and my corals are looking better and my cyano is going away.

I've been using it for 2 months and all my hammers died I have cyno and losing a brain coral. Also lost my 3 year old clam. I was trying to raise the calcium with kalk and doing 2 water changes a week. I honestly thought I was alone.

I haven't tested the salt but if someone wants it for a fish only or to start up a tank there's over half a bucket left 100 gallons plus. Free just pick up in Saco.

I tested a bucket of salt it came to 7DKH 390 ppm for calcium and 1520 for mag, but even with dosing if there is an underlying problem with the trace elements in the salt that we can't test its a big problem.
