Decided to get my feet wet again with freshwater after five or so years of being without a freshwater tank. I'd been going back and forth on wanting another betta and to possibly try breeding them again. Yesterday afternoon when I bought my trio of chalk bass I couldn't help but check out two of the bettas that petco had, a deep metallic blue delta tail and a metallic teal rose petal tail. Tonight after going fishing I said screw it and went back to petco and after standing around looking at each of the fish for at least half an hour I ended up with the blue delta tail. For now he's living in a planted vase but I'm planning on setting up a planted fluval spec V tank on my night stand for it. This is also my excuse to get a second tank setup upstairs lol. Nice! I've always liked the blue ones.

Same here. I've actually been looking for one for a while. They always have some flaw though, usually twisted pelvic fins. This one just happens to be almost completely perfect. I had been wanting a nice half moon or rose petal tail beta but this one was labeled as a delta tail and looks more like a half moon betta so I'm happy either way. I'll be even happier when I can get a nice five gallon for him.
