Hi everyone. I'm not sure what this is. I think it maybe a anemone but Ive never seen one so small. It just showed up in the sand bed dead center of the front of the tank. Any ideas?

Hard to tell from the pic but I'm guessing it is probably a baby rock flower anemone.

Are you taking about like the flower pots? Yeah sorry I had a hard time taking pics of it. Ill try to get some better ones. It is right up against the glass and its about the same size as the gravel. It seems to have a green foot with white stripes and white tentacles. Do you think it will get bigger or make a colonies?

Yeah don't think its a majano. I see the similarities of a sea cucumber but dont they move? Whatever this is seems to be planted where it is. It stretches to just above the sand and at night retracts to half the size. I can't see the end of it so dont know how long or if its attached to anything. Of what I can see its about 3/8" long and is thinner than even a pen . Thanks

Not a sea cucumber if it doesn't move. If it has 8 tentacles it 'narrows' it down to the soft coral family. I'd post the pics in reefcentral in the new to hobby- critter id section. Hope its a good one to keep. Vijay

Im not new to the hobby. I've been reefing for many years. But I am new to this site and im not sure where or how to get to id page your talking about. I do think it is some kind of anemone because of the way it acts but I've never seen one so small.
