Where do you guys get flexible return hose for your larger pumps? I did flex pvc for my last 1"+ return and it was such a pain to work with I won't ever use it again. I don't see vinyl hose that big in the stores around here. Give me some ideas.

Local hardware store should have it. The true value I go,to in Winthrop had vinyl tubing up,to like 1.5 inches if I remember correctly.

You could also check Amazon or eBay or just do a google search for what your looking for.

I'll have to check again then. The biggest stuff I found at lowes was 3/4". Maybe they were just out at the time. Anyone ever use that spa flex hose? Looks like it would be less rigid than vinyl.

I use pool hose for my drain lines. Returns are hard plumbed. Hardware stores should have larger diameter vinyl. Although the larger diameter hoses tend to be more rigid-might not be flexible enough in tight places.

If so, what did you use for an adapter to go from the hose cuff to the pipe sockets?

Drains are just straight PVC. It's the return hose I'm looking for ideas on. Prefer hose of some sort because it helps dampen vibration from the pump a little.

I used various couplings and reducers to get down to a size where I rammed the pool hose onto a barbed, pvc fitting. If it was easier, I would post a picture.
