Regular IO for me. I used to be a Reef crystals fan but once I started supplementing my own 2 part I preferred IO.

yes so that is the down side to using the probiotic salt is that you have to use it with in 24 hours of it being mixed up. I dont know what causes that bacterial bloom. my only guess is that there is some form of carbon dosing in the salt that causes it. The other reason i am in complete love with this salt is i run an ULNS and this salt was specifically designed for this application.

Regular IO for me. I used to be a Reef crystals fan but once I started supplementing my own 2 part I preferred IO. so something interesting about IO, i use a 55gal plastic drum with a float valve set up to about 45 gal to mix up my saltwater. sometimes when using IO i dont need a full bg to get to 1.026, and the last bag i used i used the full bag of salt and i only got 1.019. thats not very consistant

I am thinking about switching to Fritz pro salt, i talked to a bunch of people in the CT area durring the frag farmers market and they said they have had amazing results since switching. I have found it for around $60 for a box online. I switched from Reef Crystals to Fritz after picking up a box for $45 at a frag swap. My tanks definitely perked up after making the switch. I think I'll have to restock at my old reef shop once I head back to Syracuse, NY for visiting family.
