In the beginning phases of a new tank build. A show piece in the kitchen. Tank will be around 80-90 gallons. The focus is going to be on dwarf lionfish.
I'm leaning towards; A combo of one each of a dwarf fuzzy, a Hawaiian, and either a dwarf zebra or a Mombassa. But I do want some other movement in the tank. Possible tank mates;
Tomini or Kole tang. Open to either. Atlantic longnose or Copperband butterfly. I think the longnose is hardier and easier to feed, but at 4" it maybe a bit on the small side to be with the lions. Flame or Coral Beauty dwarf angel. I prefer the coral beauty but the flame gets bigger so may be safer. Flame Hawkfish. Possibly too small to be safe at 4" Starry Blennie. Also possibly too small to be safe.
Thoughts?

I had a dwarf fuzzy several years ago. Great fish. Maybe get a male and couple female fuzzies? I seem to remember Mombasa require cooler temps? Yeah, pick tank mates carefully. Where have you seen a Atlantic longnose for sale? The angels might be ok for awhile, but I think they may be too small. A larger angel perhaps? Same for the hawkfish.

Both LA and bluezoo have Atlantic long nose in stock at the moment. Yeah for some reason I had in my head that flames got bigger than they do. I'd have to go with something like a bicolor or similar larger dwarf angel

Cool. I haven't seen Atlantic longnose for sale in a long time. Think the last one was in the Divers Den many years ago. I still think dwarf angels may not be a good choice. Most of those dwarf lions are still going to grow to 5-6". Maybe if you get juvenile lions and an adult angel.

Yeah if I do an angel at all it will be a big dwarf. Bicolors and red stripes get 6" and should be safe but could also pose an aggression risk toward the lion's. I'll probably just skip the hawkfish and the blenny

Well the Atlantic longnose butterflyfish went out of stock on LA today. I have Friday off and so can't place an order until Wednesday. Which is too bad because not only haven't I seen them for sale for a year to two but they were 30% off. You win some you lose some I guess. Bluezoo still has them although at full price.
As far as dwarf angels go it looks like it would either be a bicolor or eibli and I'd lean towards the Eibli I think.

I've ordered from them once in the past. I had no issues with them in that instance. Livestock was healthy and of decent size. Of course that's only one order.
