I'm thinking possibly making an order in a couple weeks maybe towards the end of the February. I've never done a group buy so just need to figure it out. Has anyone ever done a group buy and how did it work out paying for everything?

Haven't done a group buy before. Make sure you get all the money first before placing the order. And make plans with everyone in case of any DOAs. Can fish be added to this order as well?

I was hoping to keep in the build your own cleaner pack for inverts because it will get free overnight shipping for any order over $60. I was figuring I'd place the order and anyone who wanted to ad to the order for free shipping on some inverts could pay me upfront and arrange to pickup the day of arrival. Plus inverts are easier to temporarily hold in my system until pickup. Thoughts ideas?

I've done the group buy before, ideally it would get shipped to whoever was central to everyone for pick up. We used to use club money to pay in advance, then pay at pick up, but unless you trust everyone, I would recommend paying in advance. Then no one is out money. There were some places when we did group buys we were given a bulk discount, maybe something to check into before ordering?

Well I won't be placing any orders anytime soon. Just saw the receipt for our heating oil! Almost $600 later and I'm broke again. Everyone who was interested, feel free to do a group buy without me this time.
