Personally I would save $50 more and wait and get the this one. I'm not sure you'll get enough light to grow much with those, 1watt per bulb really isn't much. But others feel free to chime in... reefbreeders.com/value_led_fixtures.htmlThis light is $179 includes shipping and a 2 year warrantee and is similar to the one I have and you will see excellent colors and growth. These are also 3 watts per bulb. And you'll see nothing but good reviews with their lights.

I see, guess one seller just labeled it wrong. I haven't used LED's before so I don't know, I've only use T5 and compact florescent. But reading the descriptions below the items it looks like they both have the same things.

oceangirl2009~ Does that fixture have to be hung above the tank or does it have arms??? I'm in a rental home and can't hang anything from the ceiling due to fire code in my city.

dont bother with the lights on the links to ebay they are a waste of $$. I had the double bright marineland one over a seahorse tank and could barly keep most of my macro algae alive never mind any corals
the reefbreeder lights are awesome for the $$ I highly recommend them! you have to hang them but that is easy with a canopy or something similar

Which one will direct more light in to the tank... 120*, 90* or the 60*. If I build a custom canopy, It will be sitting 3-5" above the water.

I forgot to mention Melissa when I did get the flight he didn't have the supporting rods, so I just hung up from my ceiling or I'd set it on top of the tank

those both look similar to the marineland design...if that's the case you be dissapointed, and only be able to keep softies..save some cash and do it right the first time. You can get a Kessil for just barely over $200 now, you'd probably need 2 so start with one and eventually get the other, they are awesome...also the coralvue maxspec is great if you have all the money at once. If you want to see the lights you're viewing petpro in Bangor has 1 10 gallon with them...he outfitted everything with them but needed to upgrade because he couldn't keep anything with those. Keep what you have and save the money...all to often I've bought something only to upgrade it quickly after...I've learned doing it right the first time might cost more up front but will save the you cash of upgrades later. Good luck

PS if you really want them you could run a strip in addition to your current setup and get the glimmer lines but I wouldn't rely soley on these.

I hung mine by creating a bracket to the wall with material from Home Depot, I think it cost $15.

I think I'm going to save a bit longer and order two of them at the same time. As of now we are running 6 T5HOs for a total of 234watts...... I think that will give us enough light until we get the new fixtures....I think??
