So for the past week once in awhile around my tank I would her a sound coming from my tank but couldn't figure out what it was. In this week I lost a montipora I got and my clam has been acting weird and closing alot but I thought everything was unrelated. So this morning I walk downstairs and my son left the ac on and the house was really cold. I adjusted and went to work. When I got home I heard the sound again. Then I saw it. 3 years ago I bought a heater controller with a... alarm!
Ugh... dumb. The tank was at 67 degrees.
I've been bringing the tank up to temp today only brought it to 73. In a day or to I'll go up to normal.

Close call! Hope the rest pull through ok. Is the heater not working correctly? Unless the AC was blowing on your tank or the heater is undersized, shouldn't it have been able to keep the temp more stable?

I hate it whe. Things like that happen. At least you caught it. After a week. I had a brand new heater that I put on last night and everything seems good now. The other heater failed and wasn't heating at all.

Back up heater and backup main pump are two luxuries that I try to not go without just for this sort of reason. Glad to hear most everything is doing better at least.
